Responsible Wine Vendor online training

If you are a manager at a food store that holds a wine license with the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), you are required to be a Designated Manager in order to order wine for your food store. Tennessee Permitted Manager and Clerk Training Requirements

  • FOOD STORES (Grocery and Convenience)—Mangers ordering wine must be permitted. To become permitted these managers are required to take the Designated Manager Course Retail Food and Responsible Wine Vendor course annually. Sign up here
  • LIQUOR STORES – Only one manger is requited to be permitted. To become permitted this manager must take the Designated Manager Course Retail Package (Liquor) and the Responsible Wine Vendor Course annually. Sign up here
  • Anyone ringing a wine sale in a grocery or convenience store must be a certified Responsible Wine Vendor. This means they take the Responsible Wine Vendor Course annually.
  • Clerks in a liquor store must take the Responsible Wine Vendor course before their Blue Card expires. If they do not have a blue Card and are new, they have a 61 days grace period before the are required to have a certificate on file at their location.
